During our recent family vacation at Hafenhotel, we found it to be a refreshing choice for travelers. The hotel is newly refurbished, and you can still catch a whiff of fresh paint, which speaks to its modern charm. Its location right on the small harbor offers a quieter experience, away from more touristy areas, yet it's conveniently close to the train station-just a 5-minute walk. Our family enjoyed a spacious room with a balcony overlooking the port. The kids loved the great breakfast selection; it was nice to find something for everyone in the family. The only quirky catch was that while they thoughtfully provided mosquito nets on the windows and balcony door, the absence of one in the bathroom meant we had a few unwelcome guests in the form of spiders and blackflies. One of the highlights of our stay was a delightful boat trip to Sellin and Baabe, where we spent the day exploring. It's experiences like these that really brought our family together. Hafenhotel has a welcoming atmosphere, and if you're looking for a family-friendly spot, it's worth considering.
